I am Etienne le Rossignol, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
My research and teaching interests are Economic History, Political Economy, Development Economics, and Culture. I am interested in the origins and consequences of different institutions and norms, including property rights, trust, and religious beliefs. I am also interested in understanding the cultural and economic legacies of various aspects of colonialism in sub-Saharan Africa.
